“The best thing you can do is the right thing. The next best thing you can do is the wrong thing. The worst you can do is nothing.”
Theodore Roosevelt

So many elements can impact your ability to think clearly and go for your dreams. Your external environment is one essential component that should be set up to support your energy, wellbeing and performance.

I created Clean and Lean to help you assess your living and work spaces and adjust them to ensure they’re supportive of your health and wellbeing (not working against them), while leaving light and caring footprints on planet earth.

What is Clean and Lean?

By “clean”, I mean watching out for toxins in your environment and lowering your exposure to them as much as you can. I know it can be hard to navigate the sea of information out there and too tempting to simply continue doing what we’ve always done. I spent a decade researching (a passion of mine), studying, road-testing hacks and safer alternatives. My work is inspired by an amazing mentor I’ve had the pleasure to work with and learn from: Alexx Stuart, author and founder of Low Tox Life. Empowerment is a key theme of her work and something I’m keen for you to experience: understanding the why and the how, so you can confidently make the best choices for you and your family, ongoingly.

Once you’re comfortable with “clean”, we move on to “lean”. We often underestimate the freedom and creativity that comes from decluttering and organising our living and working spaces. I must admit that I personally get a thrill of excitement from simplifying and putting things in order: Marie Kondo and I would get along like a house on fire. If you asked my husband the one trait he finds most annoying in me, I bet it would be something along the lines of “she makes stuff disappear really fast”. Not in a magician kind of way, I’m more the serial cleaner type: “do we need this? Is it making us healthier/happier/brighter?” If the answer is no then let’s recycle/donate/sell – NOW. The birth of my daughter also reinforced my willingness to make more conscious decisions when it comes to what I buy and how I live.

What does a session look like?

Think about our sessions like a highly customised audit to upgrade your home/working spaces so they’re best serving your health and wellbeing goals, in a way that feels achievable to you.

If you live in Sydney, I’m happy to come to your place, otherwise we meet online via Zoom.

First, we unpack what you already know, what’s currently working and not working for you.

We have a look inside some key areas of your home: pantry and kitchen, bathroom/beauty cabinet, bedroom, working space and any other spaces you spend a lot of time in.

We decide together on key priorities and discuss better alternatives: I’ll explain the why and the how, so you’re armed with the knowledge to continue making the best choices moving forward.

Once we know what to keep and what to get rid of, we discuss how to reorganise and maximise your space. By now I’m sure you’ve guessed that I’m a big fan of Marie Kondo and I do use some of her techniques to help you become a decluttering ninja. Because I also look at ways to make your home ‘cleaner’ though, I’m more than just a professional house organiser. I help you to create the most peaceful, joyful, and productive environment you can possibly have in order to assist you in reaching your goals and full potential.

What’s in it for you?

Knowledge IS power!

  • Be empowered to make healthier choices for your family and for your planet. You can start straight away by checking some of the articles I’ve written in the series How to reduce your exposure to toxins.
  • Go back to basics: reduce the amount of stuff you have and be clear on the amount of stuff you really need. If you’ve been craving simplicity lately, you won’t be disappointed!
  • Reinforce the benefits of any existing inner work you’re doing and make huge inroads into feeling better.
  • Marie Kondo says it best: “tidying orders and relaxes the mind”. Experience the ripple effects that creating a “clean and lean” environment can have on your mindset in terms of clarity and creativity.
  • Make space within and without to focus on what matters most, what truly makes you feel happy and whole.
Clean and Lean is not for you if:
  • You’re not interested in making healthier choices for you and your family

  • You’re not ready to let go of the “stuff” that is not serving your most vibrant health or you’re a self-proclaimed hoarder and want to stay that way!

  • You know the exact content of your pantry, your bathroom cabinet, your beauty bag, and you’re confident that what’s in there is the best for you and your health and organised in a way that makes your life easy every day! If this is you I say “Bravo” and keep going!

We’ll discuss what you want to achieve in your life right now and see if we’re the right fit for each other. You can ask me any burning questions you have about coaching or the other tools I have in my toolkit to help improve your health and wellbeing.

Life Coaching

It’s not about giving you the answers, it’s about asking you the right questions. Untangle the mess, set goals you actually want to achieve and stay motivated to live the life you want to live, not the one you think you should.

Holistic Wellbeing

Know where to start in order to take charge of your health and wellbeing. Find your team or, if you’re already working with a practitioner, I will help you maximise your chances of success and optimise your treatment.

Getting people to a space and place of clarity and utmost organisation is a gift and I’d strongly encourage anyone who has the opportunity to do so with Elise, to do it yesterday. Whatever she touches turns to calm-and-organised and with her passion for wellbeing, it’s a holistic journey in getting you there.

Alexx Stuart, Author and Founder of Low Tox Life, Sydney, Australia

I started working with Elise to understand how to improve my eating habits so I could feel and sleep better and eventually lose weight.  Elise always made me feel like I was the most important client she had.  She had very powerful questions that led me to discover answers I had no idea were within me. I can’t thank Elise enough for encouraging me to investigate my health issues and work with a Functional Medicine practitioner (which I had never heard of). I’m happy to report that my health has improved greatly and I feel great.

Leslie K. Whitby, Business Development Manager, Philadelphia, United States

I absolutely loved my sessions and time working with Elise and found them really beneficial. Elise has an amazingly calm, optimistic and intuitive approach that really helps dig deep in a super positive way. Since working with her, I’ve had some revelations about how I deal with certain stresses and situations and have learned ways to manage them better. I would highly recommend working with Elise if you’re looking for some clarity, positive action and structure around different areas & goals. She also has some amazing practical tips & recommendations that are game changers! I look forward to working with Elise again very soon!

Marianne, General Manager, Sydney, Australia

I’m feeling more confident in the decisions I have to make and I’m seeing more opportunities in day to day life that I didn’t notice previously. Elise is always in the moment right there with me throughout the sessions, her communication style is fantastic, and she has a great depth of knowledge. To be able to work though problems and move myself forwards in my goals has been invaluable.

Kimberlea Lemon, Occupational Therapist, Rotorua, New Zealand

If you feel stuck, lost or unsure about what you should do next, I highly recommend you work with Elise. Else is very intuitive and an incredibly good listener. During each session we had, she asked the exact questions I needed to hear, the ones that bring you to those juicy “ah ah” moments. Even though she asks powerful questions that lead to big realisations, she always does it in a gentle, warm and compassionate way that makes you feel supported and always at ease. If you want a very dedicated and professional coach to help you find clarity, then you’ve found her!

Lucie Robazza, Product Manager, Sydney, Australia

Elise is extremely empathetic, an excellent listener, professional and always patient, trustworthy and encouraging. She has an uncanny knack to always know the right question to ask in order to draw out exactly what it is that was holding me back. She was able to help me find clarity over what was needed to be done to move forward in a positive way. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had Elise coach me through such a pivotal time in my career and life and could not recommend her enough if you are looking for professional and motivating support to move through life in a more positive, fulfilling way.

Helen Besgrove, Senior Brand Manager, Sydney, Australia

Elise is a deep, intuitive listener and focuses on what’s needed to help move me forward as I work to achieve my goals. Since I started working with her, I’ve learned to slow down and listen to my inner wisdom. I’ve deepened my insights into what I want for myself and how to achieve that.

L-M Maitland, Medical Social Worker, United States

Working with Elise has helped me tremendously to trust my inner voice when it comes to motherhood and everyday challenges. I feel more confident about my own decisions as a woman and a mother, with more capacity to focus on what matters most. It’s priceless. Elise has a gentle yet efficient way of communicating which creates a safe and warm environment to discuss any topic. Her kind and open approach has been a great support in my personal development journey.

Judith Dexmier, Corporate Sales Lead, Sydney, Australia

Elise demonstrates an ability to listen deeply and create a coaching dynamic that gently but assuredly propels you forward. She is authentic, completely trustworthy, articulate, and structured, and she zeros in on key issues with great accuracy, walking alongside you like a good friend, bringing insight and energy.

Anne Trager, small business owner, Toulouse, France

Having witnessed her evolution and growth over some time now it’s easy for me to say that one would be hard put to find a coach as professional, committed and dedicated to their process and their client’s success as Elise most certainly is.

Rod Francis, Head of Coaching Faculty, Human Potential Institute, United States

Elise helped me clarify my goals and the steps that could be taken to move towards them. She helped me closely examine different elements of my life and choose which areas I needed to focus on to improve my overall wellbeing, where it would be better to step back and consider things from a different perspective. I think everyone can benefit from having a bit of guidance and a neutral person to help them put things into perspective, especially during times of transition, big changes, or anything challenging.
