“The best thing you can do is the right thing. The next best thing you can do is the wrong thing. The worst you can do is nothing.”
Theodore Roosevelt

So many elements can impact your ability to think clearly and go for your dreams. Your external environment is one essential component that should be set up to support your energy, wellbeing and performance.
I created Clean and Lean to help you assess your living and work spaces and adjust them to ensure they’re supportive of your health and wellbeing (not working against them), while leaving light and caring footprints on planet earth.

What is Clean and Lean?
By “clean”, I mean watching out for toxins in your environment and lowering your exposure to them as much as you can. I know it can be hard to navigate the sea of information out there and too tempting to simply continue doing what we’ve always done. I spent a decade researching (a passion of mine), studying, road-testing hacks and safer alternatives. My work is inspired by an amazing mentor I’ve had the pleasure to work with and learn from: Alexx Stuart, author and founder of Low Tox Life. Empowerment is a key theme of her work and something I’m keen for you to experience: understanding the why and the how, so you can confidently make the best choices for you and your family, ongoingly.
Once you’re comfortable with “clean”, we move on to “lean”. We often underestimate the freedom and creativity that comes from decluttering and organising our living and working spaces. I must admit that I personally get a thrill of excitement from simplifying and putting things in order: Marie Kondo and I would get along like a house on fire. If you asked my husband the one trait he finds most annoying in me, I bet it would be something along the lines of “she makes stuff disappear really fast”. Not in a magician kind of way, I’m more the serial cleaner type: “do we need this? Is it making us healthier/happier/brighter?” If the answer is no then let’s recycle/donate/sell – NOW. The birth of my daughter also reinforced my willingness to make more conscious decisions when it comes to what I buy and how I live.
What does a session look like?
Think about our sessions like a highly customised audit to upgrade your home/working spaces so they’re best serving your health and wellbeing goals, in a way that feels achievable to you.
If you live in Sydney, I’m happy to come to your place, otherwise we meet online via Zoom.
First, we unpack what you already know, what’s currently working and not working for you.
We have a look inside some key areas of your home: pantry and kitchen, bathroom/beauty cabinet, bedroom, working space and any other spaces you spend a lot of time in.
We decide together on key priorities and discuss better alternatives: I’ll explain the why and the how, so you’re armed with the knowledge to continue making the best choices moving forward.
Once we know what to keep and what to get rid of, we discuss how to reorganise and maximise your space. By now I’m sure you’ve guessed that I’m a big fan of Marie Kondo and I do use some of her techniques to help you become a decluttering ninja. Because I also look at ways to make your home ‘cleaner’ though, I’m more than just a professional house organiser. I help you to create the most peaceful, joyful, and productive environment you can possibly have in order to assist you in reaching your goals and full potential.
What’s in it for you?
Knowledge IS power!
- Be empowered to make healthier choices for your family and for your planet. You can start straight away by checking some of the articles I’ve written in the series How to reduce your exposure to toxins.
- Go back to basics: reduce the amount of stuff you have and be clear on the amount of stuff you really need. If you’ve been craving simplicity lately, you won’t be disappointed!
- Reinforce the benefits of any existing inner work you’re doing and make huge inroads into feeling better.
- Marie Kondo says it best: “tidying orders and relaxes the mind”. Experience the ripple effects that creating a “clean and lean” environment can have on your mindset in terms of clarity and creativity.
- Make space within and without to focus on what matters most, what truly makes you feel happy and whole.
Clean and Lean is not for you if:
-
You’re not interested in making healthier choices for you and your family
-
You’re not ready to let go of the “stuff” that is not serving your most vibrant health or you’re a self-proclaimed hoarder and want to stay that way!
-
You know the exact content of your pantry, your bathroom cabinet, your beauty bag, and you’re confident that what’s in there is the best for you and your health and organised in a way that makes your life easy every day! If this is you I say “Bravo” and keep going!
We’ll discuss what you want to achieve in your life right now and see if we’re the right fit for each other. You can ask me any burning questions you have about coaching or the other tools I have in my toolkit to help improve your health and wellbeing.
